SLU-PP-332
SLU-PP-332 is a novel compound developed at Washington University that activates ERR (estrogen-related receptor) gamma, alpha, and beta — the same transcription factors activated by aerobic exercise. It essentially tricks the body into experiencing some molecular benefits of exercise, including increased fat oxidation, improved mitochondrial function, and enhanced muscle endurance. In animal studies, mice treated with SLU-PP-332 could run significantly longer and had improved metabolic profiles. It is an oral compound and represents a new class of "exercise mimetics."
